There is nothing like a cup of coffee to help wake us up during the week, give us an afternoon energy boost, or help us navigate those trickier parenting moments.

What has been in the works since February is now official: Portage roasters Coffee Rescue has teamed up with former Impractical Jokers star Joe Gatto for a new coffee roast and you'll love the reason why!

Just this past August, the Kalamazoo City Council made operating a food truck in the Michigan city's streets legal, and Coffee Rescue jumped into action. Now, in a converted ambulance, they ride the streets of Kalamazoo, MI, making sure that any and all citizens suffering from severe caffeine deprivation get the java jolt they need, stat.

Kalamazoo has a new "emergency vehicle" that people are happy to see coming. In August, the Kalamazoo City Council unanimously adopted a food truck ordinance allowing the mobile vendors to operate on public streets. Coffee Rescue is one of three trucks so far to rev up their engines locally, in addition to the Organic Gypsy and local street food veteran Gorilla Gourmet, which opened in 2010.
